Undeleting a deleted Wikipedia Entry

In an earlier posting I ranted about wikipedia wanting to delete the 10th Floor Test entry I wrote.

I just got word from Steve Traugott himselve that he started the discussion again with some valuable arguments. So now the entry is being listed for undeletion

The whole story makes me wonder, since when did google became the authorative source of the truth ?

As I`m sure google finds this blog entry I`ll expand the entry here :)

So here's my new suggestion for the 10 floor test entry for Wikipedia

The 10th floor test , is a term first used by Steve Traugott from www.infrastructures.org It referes to the ability to take a random machine in your infrastructure , drop it from the 10th floor, and not lose sysadmin work. Hence to be able to restore your infrastructure to working within 5-10 minutes. Steve was working in the tenth floor lab at Chemical Bank's midtown NYC headquarters building at the time he started using the term. The term is gaining widespread acceptance in the IT Infrastructure area and has been explained by different people at Unix and Infrastructure conferences
