Or have you solved the content vs code vs config deployment problem yet ?

How are you measuring and monitoring these deployments and adding metrics to them so you can get good visibility on both
system and user actions of your platform. Have you build fancy dashboards showing your whole organisation the current state of your deployment ?

We're also looking for people talking about introducing different data backends, nosql, scaling different search backends , building your own cdn using smart filesystem setups.
Or making smart use of existing backends, such as tuning and scaling MySQL, memcached and others.

So lets make it clear to the community that drupal people do care about their code after they committed it in source control !

Please submit your talks here
http://127.0.0.1:8080/blog/devops-munich#comments cfp configmgmt deployment devops drupal measurement monitoring mysql puppet testing Tue, 01 May 2012 19:02:30 +0000 Kris Buytaert 1065 at http://127.0.0.1:8080/blog Call For Abstracts : NLUUG Fall Conference on Security http://127.0.0.1:8080/blog/call-abstracts-nluug-fall-conference-security
For all the security experts : the NLUUG has published it's Call For Abstracts for it's Fall conference.. as you might have guessed the topic is Security, we welcome all abstracts tackling security in a broad sense.

Possible topics include:

* cloud security
* online privacy
* rfid hacking
* secure programming
* programma-analysis-tools
* web services security
* web browser security
* embedded hardware hacking
* incident response and forensics
* malware and rootkits
* responsible disclosure
* legal response
* fighting spam
* patch policies
* identity management
* central point of administration
* DNSsec
* VPN based WANs
* etc.

The NLUUG fall conference is scheduled on 11 November 2010 in De Reehorst in Ede, the Netherlands.

Hint.. maybe a talk on secdevops would be welcomed too :)

Disclaimer : I`m on the program committee
http://127.0.0.1:8080/blog/call-abstracts-nluug-fall-conference-security#comments cfp conference devops nluug secdevops SecOPS security Tue, 01 Jun 2010 17:53:08 +0000 Kris Buytaert 1006 at http://127.0.0.1:8080/blog Loadays CFP http://127.0.0.1:8080/blog/loadays-cfp
I would like to point the crowd to the Call For Presentaions of Loadays. , the Linux Open Administration Days .

The Linux Open Administration days 2010 will be the first edition of a new conference focusing on Linux and Open Administration, we are trying to fill a gap for System Engineers and Administrators using Open Source technologies"

More details on the Linux Open Administration Days site

I'll probably be there .. given the fact that the event will be 5 minutes from where I live .
http://127.0.0.1:8080/blog/loadays-cfp#comments antwerpen cfp conference drupal mysql opensource presentation talk tstad wilrijk Thu, 11 Feb 2010 20:55:56 +0000 Kris Buytaert 984 at http://127.0.0.1:8080/blog T-Dose 2009 CFP, http://127.0.0.1:8080/blog/t-dose-2009-cfp
Dear MySQL and Drupal , Plone and other Open Source folks, you might want to be interrested in giving a talk at T-Dose 2009 ,

Jean Paul pinged me with the following mail :

Maybe it escaped your attention that the Call For Papers for T-DOSE 2009 is already out.
