Screensavers

Yesterday during some presentation I got quite frustrated with the screensaver that constantly started fading out the screen even after only 30 seconds of non activity Why doesn't OO.org just disable the screensaver while in presentation mode .. or should I look harder for that option ?

#1 Philip Paeps : Because like all

Because like all mega-programs (actually, it's probably a giga-program, an entirely new circle of hell has been reserved for them) OpenOffice.org sucks donkeys?

In the presentation script I use to beam up my PDF slides (from LaTeX or groff, depending on my mood), I have an incantation that kills the screensaver (just with `xset s off`, I don't see the point of running xscreensaver/electricsheep on a laptop).

Keep it simple? Throw OpenOffice.org out. Promote sensible file formats. Put the "intelligence" back where it belongs, at the keyboard, rather than trying to build an 'intelligent' (ersatz) file format.
